I was born in Reading, PA and lived there for 18 years. I attended the Reading School District from K-2 then the Governor Mifflin School District from 3-12. I went on to college at Lycoming College in Williamsport, PA where I double-majored in astronomy and physics with a mathematics minor.
After an internship at
NASA/Goddard in the summer of 1997, I became very
interested in atmospheric science. I chose Colorado State University for
graduate school where I got my Master of Science degree in 2001 in Atmospheric Science and then
worked at CSU as a Research Associate in CIRA/RAMMB, the
Schubert Research Group, and the
Johnson Research Group until 2011. In 2012, I started at
University of Miami as
a Senior Research Associate in the Majumdar Research Group.
